A Gender-Lens Investing Philosophy
We are a gender lens investing initiative tailored to scale up agribusinesses and enable women to thrive. We are focusing on value addition, technology adoption and sustainability. Agribusiness in Africa represents a tremendous opportunity but very often there is limited value addition to raw materials i.e. little to no transformation. There is a funding gap, especially for women when they actually make up to 80% of the workforce. Technology adoption and sustainability can significantly increase productivity and revenues. Ster Impact Fund mission is to leverage our background in Industrial Engineering and Finance to provide customized financing and technical solutions including value chain optimization, business knowledge, ESG opportunities.
